  4. Very informative and helpful video. My mother was a seamstress but after years of doing it, it hurts her neck. She's tried to teach me how to sew but I do much better from the instructions of another person. Thank you so much for your awesome videos. I would love to be able to make my own clothes.

  5. Adetutu Jobi says:

I will like to be self taught the art of sewing. Watching the 2 parts has greatly given me to go ahead and start. Thank you.

  6. Wow! Thank you, Angela, for sharing your knowledge here. I just dug out a sewing machine I bought some time ago with the intent to sewing a few small projects, but being a raw beginner, I was too afraid to start. Your Part 1 and 2 videos, along with my trying out what your are showing in these videos, have broken my fear factor to  the point of feeling encouraged to do a few more practice runs before trying something useful. As I progress, I know where to go for help.  Thanks, again!

  13. dcwatashi says:

very clever to use a light colored fabric with dark thread. So many other tutorials you cannot see the stitching which is of course extremely important. And there were a few little tips that I picked up such as using the pin to get the knot in the right place. A lot of these little details lost in the shuffle. Thank you very much

  14. Thanks for the videos Angela……I love them

Thank you for these videos! I'm had a sewing machine for a while, but never took it out of the box. Now that I've started to make costumes, and I realize how much easier it would be if I could make things from scratch instead of searching the internet to find what I need. Thank you!

  24. M. H. says:

Does it matter if I interchange the way I press the seams for the bust part or back part? Will it affect the finished garment?

These video tutorials, patterns and the whole website are such an amazing job! so impressive. It is also so pleasant to listen to Angelas voice, similar to Judi Dench. You are very talented, all your work professional, neat, perfect!

  35. Thank you so much for this nice, professional, introduction to sewing! I absolutely love fashion and I have a hard time picking out clothes in the shops so I thought "why not make my own clothes?" I have one question though, and I apologize if you already explained this in the video, when stitching two fabrics together do you use the zig-zag stich or put one fabric on top of the other and then stich? Thank you so much for all your effort into this video and it was so helpful as a beginner who has yet to try sewing! I hope you make more excellent videos and have a very nice day! <3

  36. These were great! All the effort really shows!
