This was a very cute video! But, I do not have a vintage dress. What I need is a simple dress where you connect the top (with sleeves) to a gathered skirt with zipper or pull over the head and place a belt around the waist. The design I'm looking for is just like that beautiful pink plaid dress you made!! But, I'm a total BEGINNER!! I only own a needle and thread! No Sewing machine!! I made a blouse in 2 weeks from two rectangles and modified it as I first basting stitched it. It turned out fair. Very pretty no stretch material, but it is a little off in construction. It is my very first blouse. I have made many, many skirts to my liking…ALL BY HAND WITH ONE NEEDLE AND THREAD!! I just made a classic black skirt that came out perfect!! Now I want to make a dress connecting skirt and top together! Thanks!!!!

  4. Love this dress and will try it when I get home today.  I have 2 question:#1 – How many inches down from top did you sew the side seam?#2 – How many inches from the edge did you sew the shoulders?TIA!

  5. Very cute. I have to try this!

Hi. Can u make a kp update video? Thank you and your so pretty 😘😘

  11. so was your dress a little to big for you at the start? Love the new dress.

  12. That is very good idea. I broke the needlee of my sawing machine before one time and I am afraid to use it. I found out the tension numbers are very important. Can I ask u what number of tension did you use for this dress? I am super beginner and just have alot of passion. 😆

That turned out so cute. Have you seen those cute aprons made out of a mans button down shirt, they are so cute. They leave the collar on so it almost mimics a halter, anyways have a great day.

  14. Shirani Dove says:

Very beautiful and easy god bless you.

  15. That was a cute dress transformation, but also the dress was very pretty as it was before.

  16. Fantastic idea and tutorial ☺ I was wondering how wide was the purple fabric?

I love this tutorial! My daughter could use more dresses and this helped me to see how I can take a very inexpensive dress and remake it for her. ❤ Thank you for sharing!
